Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Sagecraft(the “Service”), operated by Goibniu Games(the “Studio,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

2. Alpha-stage notice

Sagecraft is in alpha. The Service may change, break, lose data, or be unavailable without notice. We do not offer a service level agreement during the alpha. We may modify or discontinue features, pricing, tiers, and limits at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect active users.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@playsagecraft.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses caused by compromised credentials you did not promptly report.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content that depicts minors in sexual contexts, real-world violence against identifiable people, or material that is otherwise illegal where you live;
• Harass, dox, or threaten other users, the Studio, or third parties;
• Attempt to circumvent per-tier limits, abuse spend controls, or run automated scripts against the Service;
• Reverse-engineer the Service, scrape its surfaces, or attempt to extract underlying model weights or system prompts;
• Use the Service to compete directly with the Studio (build a competing product on top of our infrastructure).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

6. Tiers and limits

The Service is offered in tiers with different session quotas, model routing, and voice options. Quotas reset on the schedule described in-product at the time of your subscription. We may temporarily reduce limits, queue requests, or pause new sessions to protect Service stability or to enforce spend caps. The current tier definitions are the source of truth and may change with notice.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and original prose, is owned by the Studio. The Service is built on the System Reference Documents 5.1 and 5.2 by Wizards of the Coast LLC, licensed under CC-BY-4.0; full attribution is in the site footer.

Characters, scene descriptions, and gameplay choices you provide (your “Player Content”) belong to you. You grant the Studio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process your Player Content as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your Player Content does not infringe third-party rights.

DM narration generated by AI on your behalf is provided to you for your personal use; the Studio makes no claim of authorship over outputs returned to you and does not warrant the originality of generated text.

8. AI-generated content

DM responses are generated by large language models (see the Privacy Policy for current providers). AI output can be inaccurate, inconsistent, or surprising. You acknowledge that the Studio does not guarantee the accuracy, fitness, or non-infringement of AI output, and that you are responsible for evaluating it before acting on it outside the game.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@playsagecraft.com. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or for risk to other users or the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; data deletion follows the schedule in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE STUDIO IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (b) USD $50.

12. DMCA / copyright complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact our designated agent at legal@goibniugames.com with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). We respond to valid notices and may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we give reasonable notice to active users. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance.
